Well why not? Opportunities like this don’t come every day and when it involves travelling together with great friends it makes it that much more special. I know Sarah and Phil have put an incredible amount of time and effort into Tenteleni. It’s obviously something that means a great deal to them. So to witness firsthand all the dedication and hard work that they have put into Tenteleni and to help them celebrate 10 amazing years will be an absolute pleasure. Lastly, I’ve never been to Africa before, so I’m really looking forward to experiencing what it has to offer. At the very least, it will improve my geographical knowledge of the African continent for that next pub quiz. Every little bit helps!

It’s been too long since I’ve been travelling! Really though, Tenteleni becomes a bit of an obsession for everyone that it touches, and I guess that’s happened to me too. I’ve been working with them for about 10 years, and I think this is going to be the perfect way to wrap up that time and see as many of our projects as we can. I also can’t wait to drive with the other three… I think we’re all a pretty competitive bunch of mates so it’ll be pretty interesting to see how we all do with the driving!
Sarah: Tenteleni has been a huge part of my life for the last 10 years but even before Tenteleni I had a dream to drive from London to Cape Town. This is only the second half of the trip but I’m sure we’ll get round to the first half at some point too! This trip with my lovely hubby and two great friends is going to be a serious experience. I’m a bit scared of the amount of miles we have to do but I can’t wait to hear the music, meet some amazing people, and see if we can get there in 3 weeks – yikes!
